High School Youth Groups

Posted by Mojoe on August 13th, 2009

I started this group on Facebook Just to see who still remebers those days:

Yes those were the days when we still prayed in the morning and before 1st Break.. Looking forward to second break to praise the roof off. Giving thanks and Glory to God almighty for all he did. I still remember the prayer session in the mourning during exams,  Awesome days.. I wonder if it still happens now…
We basically lived for youth, remember how we prayed when we had the issue with all the “devil worshippers” , those open “air services” and conferences at school … Jissss like it , God moved in our schools through the youth groups.  The  once a month gathering where all 7 I think schools came together for one massive meeting.  Remember Patrick Duncan and Ps Andrew Leeuw  and all their hard work,  amazing men of God we commend you guys.
If you belonged to a School Youth Ministry back in the days or still belong to one now or if you involved in youth ministry please tell us your story….
Thanks

Silver Oaks Matric ‘99 Reunion

Posted by Mojoe on April 23rd, 2009

So this is Something we’ve been Talking about for a long time now ladies and gents.

Every time we meet each other in a mall or track down an old class mate on face book. The question is always the same “wanne gaan ons bietjie n’ reunion het”. Its time for us to start making plans and make this come to pass. I mean how difficult can it be. It will be cool to see all those faces again, Marlon Smith aka Maliegan, Kurt Boetie Olyn, Tougieda Sallie,  Farook Dada, Ricardo, Washieda and the rest of the English crew to name but  few. Onthou julle nog vir Moses aka popcorn he was not in matric but I think he should be there as well, his a vital part of our high school history…

Willow Crescent High

Posted by Mojoe on October 12th, 2008

Hi
I have good memories of that school and we had the best principal late Mr. Noble. That man was strict but you know what it helped us through our adult lives. I also remember that we always had the best athletes which use to always beat the other schools in Eldo’s. I was one of those athletes they even nicknamed me Mr. lightening. I have created a group on Facebook for all ex Willow students. Please join and let us share our experience.

Silver Oaks Secondary

MISSION STATEMENT:

“With the motto “AIM HIGH” the mission of Silver Oaks is to develop all her pupils to their full potential, to be useful to themselves and as law-abiding citizens, be the icon of love respect and service to their communities and nation.”

No doubt about it, academically Silver Oaks was and I would still like to believe is the best secondary school in the PARK. The grade 12 results showed it and more then the results the actual life styles of ex-students indicate that the above mission statement was more then just fancy words in black and White.
